Nyngan Solar Plant Site Visit

Wednesday 5th November 2014

Time: 10am

The solar plant is located 10kms west of Nyngan off the Barrier Hwy. Over 1.35 million solar PV modules are being installed covering an area of approximately 250 hectares. Once complete, this will be the largest solar plant in the Southern hemisphere. Central inverters convert the DC to AC, which is transformed to higher voltages for ultimate connection via a new major substation at 132,000 Volts.
