New member are allocated to one of the following categories:

Member - Members are actively engaged in the electricity supply industry in the field of electrical generation, transmission, distribution, retail or end-use applications. Members are eligible to hold office and are entitled to vote on any matter requiring a division, ballot, or show of hands.

Corporate Members - Incorporated bodies (usually major utilities) who are closely associated with the Society through the various State Chapter Committees. Specially focussed training sessions can be arranged for Corporate members and the Society can bring experts in specific fields of particular relevance to address members' staff. 

Student Members - any  person who is attending a full time course of secondary or tertiary education at a recognised educational institution shall be eligible for student membership. 

Members of EESA can also be nominated for Distinguished or Life Membership.

Membership fees

Full member:  $77.00 including GST

Retired member: $27.50 including GST

Student member: Free (must provide proof of enrolment and expected date of completion)

Corporate Member: $550.00 including GST

The annual subscription fee is due on 1 July of each year. 

If you join between 1st January and 30th April the fee is half the annual fee.  If you join after 1st May the fee covers full payment for the next year.

As a member you are able to attend the EESA Annual Conference (EECON) by paying a reduced registration fee only available to members.
